— YOUR EMBODIED EROTIC SIGNATURE™ RESULT
Unfolding
Eroticism shaped by anticipation, possibility, and not having it yet.
If this is your Signature, you may already know the feeling.
Something becomes more exciting simply because it hasn't happened yet. You find yourself thinking about what's coming, imagining how it could go, replaying something that happened earlier, or wondering what someone meant. Sometimes the waiting, wondering and imagining can be just as exciting as the experience itself.
IN THIS RESULT

AT A GLANCE
You may be naturally…
Imaginative
You may find that your mind gets involved early.
You can become interested in what might happen before anything has actually happened. Sometimes the story you're imagining can be part of the experience itself.
Patient
You may not need everything to happen immediately. Having something to look forward to can be part of what makes an experience exciting. You might actually enjoy letting the anticipation build rather than rushing to the moment itself.
Anticipatory
You may really enjoy the build-up.
Knowing something is coming can create a feeling in your body that keeps growing the longer you wait. You might notice yourself becoming more aware of the possibility as it gets closer.
Attuned
You may notice the small things. A message. A look. A change in someone's tone. A pause before they answer you.
You might find that these little moments carry much more weight for you than they appear to on the surface.
WHAT YOUR SIGNATURE REVEALS
Unfolding is about what happens when something hasn't happened yet. You might notice your arousal starts building when you know something is coming. Maybe you are going to see someone later. Maybe a conversation has left you wondering what happens next. Maybe there's a plan, but you don't know exactly how it will unfold. And then your imagination gets involved. You replay something someone said. Wonder what they meant. Imagine what might happen, or what it might feel like.
The thing hasn't happened yet, but your body is already responding. What happens in your body is unique to you. You might notice pulling, lifting, rising, fluttering, tingling, warmth, buzzing, pulsing, expanding, tightening, softening or dropping. You might notice one of these, several, or something completely different, or nothing at all. The point isn't to find the “right” sensation. It's to start noticing how your arousal feels in your body.
You may also find that once something is completely known and decided, some of the excitement disappears. The wondering, waiting and imagining was part of it. Sometimes, the anticipation is part of the experience.
And you don't necessarily need to create uncertainty or make things complicated. You may simply need something to look forward to.
This is part of a body-led approach to eroticism. Rather than starting with what you should feel, you start with what you can actually notice, and begin to learn what brings your eroticism alive, what changes it and what gets in the way.
A DISTINCTION WORTH NOTICING
Erotic anticipation or simply waiting?
Not all anticipation is erotic. You might be excited about something happening and still find yourself checking the time, feeling restless or wishing the waiting would hurry up.
Erotic anticipation can feel different. You may actually enjoy the waiting. Thinking about what's coming feels good. Imagining it keeps you interested. You don't necessarily want to rush through the build-up.
So notice the difference. Your body can help you tell the difference.
Erotic Anticipation
If you are enjoying it, you might notice warmth, fluttering, tingling, a lift through your chest, a sense of expansion or a pleasant feeling.
Waiting
If you just want it to happen already, you might notice restlessness, tension, a held breath, tightness or a sense of wanting the waiting to be over.
WHAT COMES NATURALLY, AND WHAT MAY REQUIRE MORE ATTENTION
Your strengths & growth edges
These aren't fixed characteristics. And they are not things you need to fix. They are simply places worth becoming curious about as you get to know yourself more deeply.
MAY COME NATURALLY
Finding erotic charge in anticipation and build-up
Enjoying the space before an experience actually happens
Using imagination to create interest, excitement and possibility
Keeping some mystery and uncertainty alive in established relationships
MAY REQUIRE MORE ATTENTION
Not needing to know exactly how something will unfold before allowing yourself to experience it
Not confusing anticipation with anxiety or overthinking
Allowing the actual experience to be different from what you imagined
Knowing when the build-up has become more compelling than the experience itself
THE FRAMEWORK
Embodied Erotic Design™ starts with an erotic dynamic and asks, How does that experience actually happen in your body? Your Signature gives you a lens. From there, we look at sensation, and integrate the 5 Somatic Tools. Not to tell you what you should feel, but to help you recognise what is already happening.
The research gives us the starting point. The embodied exploration is where the work begins.
From eroticism to the body
YOUR BODY
Erotic experience involves changes in attention, breathing, muscular activity, sensation, heart rate and autonomic arousal.
For Unfolding, you may notice heightened activation around anticipation, opening, discovery or the sense of something gradually emerging. That might show up through sensation, attention, breath, muscular movement, rising energy or a feeling of being drawn forward and upwards.
For me, Unfolding can feel like an upward movement through the body, a rising through the chest and shoulders, with a strong pull upwards from the pelvis. There can be a sense of being drawn forward and up, alongside a deeper pull through the chest and sternum towards the centre of the belly.
But this is my experience of Unfolding, not a template for yours. So get curious. Where do you notice the movement? Does your body feel like it wants to rise, reach, open or move forward? What happens in your chest, shoulders, belly and pelvis? Do you notice a sense of expansion, pulling or lifting?
What happens when you allow yourself to follow that movement rather than trying to control it?
How Unfolding may feel
A SOMATIC EXPLORATION
With Unfolding, the invitation is to explore receptivity through grounding.
Notice your feet on the ground or the weight of your body on the chair. Bring your attention to the bottom of your spine. Imagine a gentle pull downwards, towards the earth. Then breathe deeply into your pelvis. Notice the contrast between the upward movement of your body and the downward pull of gravity. Can you allow yourself to rise while also being supported? Notice what shifts in your breathing, muscles, attention and sensation.
There is nothing to achieve. Simply explore what happens when upward movement meets grounding and support.
